The Challenge: High Voltage Electrical Upgrades on a Shifting Schedule

Our client was conducting an electrical upgrade at a minimum security institution on Vancouver Island. With phase two nearing completion, they were replacing several high-voltage transformers and primary and secondary conductors, as well as electrical distribution throughout the facility — an undertaking that required multiple shutdowns.

Because each shutdown had to be coordinated with BC Hydro, the project’s schedule was subject to frequent changes. And because the institution was located on an island, the availability of nearby generators and distribution equipment was limited.

Our Approach: Our Power Broker Model Offers a Flexible Solution

Thanks to our extensive network of temporary power vendors, and our own sizeable inventory, we were able to source the equipment the client required, delivering it when it was needed despite fluctuating timelines.

We provided:

• two 70kVA 120/208V generators
• one 100kVA 120/208V generator
• one 125kVA 120/208V generator
• one 220kVA 120/208V generator
• one 400kVA 600V generator
• 1000 feet of 50A twist lock cable and
• over 300 feet of camlock cable

The Result: Reliable, Worry-Free Temporary Power

With the Trinity team handling the sourcing and delivery of the temporary power equipment, our client was able to focus on managing the many other aspects of this complex project, knowing they would have power when and where they needed it.
