Trinity Power went back to our film industry roots recently when a major film production company called looking for a temporary power equipment solution.
The stage, one of the tallest in the world, works with production companies on high-budget feature films, providing the studio space needed to build anything from space ships to elaborate, full-scale scenic designs.
When it comes to movie production, slow and steady doesn’t apply. For this particular production project, the studio needed thirty 400A 120/208V disconnect switches, and they needed them quickly. They came to Trinity because of our extensive inventory that allows for a quick, easy, and cost effective solution.
Trinity put together a comprehensive quote, single line diagram, site layout design, provided onsite training and we were able to mobilize equipment as soon as the studio was ready.
Not only did we supply four 800kW 600V generators, along with all of the associated distribution to get to the 30 switches, but we also took care of the fueling of the generators, leaving the production generator operators to do their jobs, without having to worry about monitoring anything throughout the film.
Thanks to Trinity’s comprehensive, quick, and affordable strategy, the studio was able to complete their project on time, with no hassle.
Trinity places a 500kW gene, a 500kVA transformer and a 15kV disconnect on a flatbed trailer and pre-wires it all for a quick and easy client install.
