Reliable Voltage Distribution Rentals for Every Project Scope

Our temporary power distribution equipment rental inventory ranges from small 100A panels to massive 3,000A I-Line distribution boards. We adapt our rentals to your project. Our team can configure equipment to be a central power source, feeding numerous individual loads with potentially different requirements. Proper distribution units ensure each circuit is protected from overloads and short circuits and provide a safe way to turn off power to specific areas, all up to electrical codes and safety standards.

We offer a complete selection of distribution equipment, including:

  • Distribution panels and centers
  • Disconnects, breakers and protective devices
  • Specialty power management components

Medium-Voltage Distribution Equipment

We offer a complete selection of specialized components and systems that safely route, control and protect electrical power at medium voltage levels. Our equipment efficiently carries large quantities of power over longer distances, protects critical and valuable assets from fault currents, allows for system sectionalizing and enables control and switching.

Some of our medium-voltage distribution rentals include:

  • Fused disconnects and line-ups: We have 5kV models available in 200A and 600A, and 15kV models available in 600A and 1,200A.
  • Fused distribution centers: 15kV models available include a 15kV 400A fused distribution center.
  • Neutral Ground Resistors (NGRs): We have various NGRs available, including a 2,400V 5A model.

Low-Voltage Distribution Equipment

Our low-voltage equipment splits power into many smaller, manageable circuits. They are individually protected against overcurrents and short circuits to prevent electrical hazards to equipment and people. These components also enhance control, allowing specific circuits for individual equipment to turn on and off via physical connection points.

Some of the low-voltage distribution rentals we offer include:

  • Distribution panels: Amperage ranges from 30A to 3,000A. We offer various configurations, including standard, stand-up, tabletop, I-line and rotary-fused models.
  • Disconnects and breaker disconnects: Amperage ranges from 200A to 4,000A. Equipment types include fused I-line disconnects and breaker disconnects, some of which feature advanced LSIG trip functionality.
  • Special low-voltage equipment: Our inventory includes 200A pole service, 400A splitters with fused disconnects for dividing power feeds and I-line breakers with individual circuit protection for I-line low-voltage distribution panel systems.

Low and Medium Voltage Distribution Protection

Overcurrent protector devices like disconnect switches, neutral grounding resistors and circuit breakers can open or disconnect the circuit to prevent or limit damage to the connected equipment. These products also lower fire risks. While you can use some voltage distribution equipment interchangeably, there will be applications where only one is the most beneficial choice.

At Trinity Power, we offer a variety of medium voltage distribution protection equipment. Our specialists are happy to work with you to determine which of our medium voltage fuses is ideal for your applications. We have years of experience and look forward to providing high-quality service for all your electrical needs.

Types of Voltage Distribution Equipment

Fused disconnect switches, circuit breakers and neutral grounding resistors all aid in preventing the overloading of circuits. However, their overall designs vary greatly, and how you use them will depend on your exact needs. Fused disconnect switches are more common in high-current applications, and the fuse guarantees the circuit will disconnect if an issue occurs.

Circuit breakers offer a similar safety alternative. However, you do not have to replace the fuses except in high-current instances. If you have a three-phase circuit, a circuit breaker may provide a more straightforward solution than fused disconnect switches.

Neutral grounding resistors are another safety alternative and aid in reducing the ground-fault current to a predetermined value in both underground and grounded systems. Placing an NGR between the ground and the neutral in the power system ensures currents are at a safe level for more comprehensive ground fault protection. Some main reasons to use an NGR over a fueled disconnect switch or circuit breaker include a lower risk of electrical shock or arc flashes and reduced losses due to unplanned downtime.
