Trinity Power has become a trusted partner to a number of Western Canada’s leading electrical contractors, because these companies have come to recognize our ability to meet temporary-power needs for a broad range of facility types. Two recent projects for a BC-based electrical contracting company prove this point. In both cases, we supplied equipment and technical assistance to the contractor that helped the company’s customers get back up and running while needed distribution system repairs were made.
The projects involved two very different kinds of facilities – a busy shopping mall and a grain refinery – in both cases, though, calls came in after regular business hours and time was of the essence. The outages at the two facilities occurred just a month apart, but like a number of Trinity Power customers, this client knew they could count on our responsive service 24/7, regardless of a project’s demands.
At the shopping centre, located in Richmond, BC, mall tenants ranging from produce vendors to restaurants could have sustained significant financial blows from both lost business and inventory if power wasn’t restored in a hurry. The site required 1250 kVA at 600V of power, along with a full line of distribution panels and cables. Our temporary power specialists worked alongside our client’s personnel to get the needed systems in place within 10 hours of receiving the initial call for assistance. As is often the case, Trinity also handled logistics – including arranging for a crane truck to lift equipment up and into the second story of a parking garage.
Time also was of the essence at a grain refinery in Chilliwack, where lost power meant lost production and revenue. In just one day, Trinity procured, prepped and shipped two 2000kW/480V generators, along with all the required cables – and we also organized three trucks to deliver the equipment to the site.
At Trinity Power, we value the relationships we’ve developed with Western Canada’s electrical contractors. Many of these companies have come to depend on our ability to supply and deliver the equipment they need to get their customers up and running again. With the short-term solutions we supplied to the Richmond mall and the Chilliwack grain refinery, our client now has the time they need to develop plans for those customers’ long-term power security.
