The reality of oil and gas, construction and other major projects is that they can generate a great deal of waste. Effectively managing that waste is important for a project’s operations, but it can also impact a number of other elements, including budgets, infrastructure and community relations. That’s where a recent client of ours comes in. They ensure that project waste is able to be disposed of in the most effective and environmentally friendly way. Like many other peripheral operations on major projects, they need power to do their job.
Founded in 2001, this client offers equipment and services to separate solid from liquid waste. Their solutions provide waste mitigation and fluid conservation across a broad spectrum of project scopes and industries, including oil and gas, construction, municipal and industrial applications. Their commitment to safety, technology and customer satisfaction makes them a leader in their field.
Our client was providing slurry waste removal services on a tunneling project on BC’s north coast. In order to operate their equipment using utility power, they needed to rent a step-down transformer. The problem? They needed the equipment within a two-week time frame, and all of the vendors they had contacted had lead times of six to eight weeks.
That is, until they contacted Trinity Power.
Working with our extensive vendor network, we were able to quickly locate a 750kVA 13.2kV – 480V pad mount transformer in BC. We also tapped into our own inventory and sourced 25 feet of 1C #4/0 camlok cable and a 400A 600V I-line panel with breakers from our shop in Leduc, Alberta. The Trinity team also handled the freight, ensuring that the equipment arrived on-site when it was needed.
Thanks to Trinity’s quick solution, our client was able to proceed on-schedule, ensuring their client’s construction project was able to remain on-schedule.
