This May, Vancouver is welcoming the Canada LNG Export Conference and Exhibition for the first time, and Trinity will be there.
The show, which will run May 10-12 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, has partnered with the Federal Government of Canada to carry out its mission to, “support the development of Canada’s LNG export ambitions.”
To achieve this mission, the conference features three days of programming and networking events and dozens of exhibitors. The program features an all-star lineup of speakers representing organizations that include the Government of BC, Woodfibre LNG, various municipalities, First Nations and a broad spectrum of other organizations that share an interest in developing LNG exports in Canada.
These speakers and panelists will be a highlight of the show, according to Neill Howard, the event’s marketing manager. “We have two prominent BC Members of Parliament – Bob Zimmer and Dan Albas – giving keynote addresses on consecutive days,” Howard explains, adding that Alfred Sorensen, the CEO of Pieridae Energy and Maurice Brand, the Founder & Director of LNG Limited will be representing east coast LNG in a panel on May 12th. This diversity, according to Howard, “reflect[s] our unique position as Canada’s only pan-Canadian LNG event.”
According to the conference website, over 250 stakeholders from Canada and abroad will be involved in the show. This year, for the first time, Trinity Power Rentals will be among them.
“With all of the hype and potential around LNG in BC, we want to make sure we’re at the forefront of what’s happening here,” explains Kurt Guess, who works in outside sales at Trinity Power. He adds that the conference will provide opportunities to network with key decision makers in the industry.
As the LNG industry in Canada continues to evolve at a rapid rate, it can be challenging for stakeholders and the public alike to find accurate information.
Kurt is excited about the opportunities that the show might offer to get the most up-to-date understanding of where LNG in Canada is at. “We’re looking forward to getting updates about where potential projects are,” he explains, adding that Trinity also hopes to “find out how suppliers, vendors and contractors can better situate themselves to get updates on where procurement is at.”
With that kind of information, businesses with interests in LNG in Canada will be able to better plan their way forward. Says Kurt, “We’re looking forward to finding out what the next step is for us.”
